A former W-Mo-Cu (?) occurrence/mine located in the SW¼NE¼ sec. 35, T14N, R16E, SBM, 2.4 km (1.5 miles) NNW of Drum Peak (coordinates of record), along the W side of Fourth of July Canyon (6 miles S of Ivanpah), on federal reservation land (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in pegmatite. The ore body strike N75W and dip S at a width of 18.29 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with an overall depth of 76.2 meters and are comprised of crosscut adits and a shaft at 250 feet of depth.
