A former Au-Cu occurrence/mine located in the N½NW¼SW¼ sec. 11, T6N, R19E, SBM, 3.2 km (2.0 miles) SW of the Little Piute Mountains (coordinates of record), along the western slope of the mountains (4 miles N of Pilot Peak). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in basalt. The ore body is 0.15 meter thick. The deposit consists of a 6 inch (15 cm) thick stringer. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 16 (Northern Mojave Desert).
Workings include surface opening comprised of 2 pits.
