A former Au-Cu occurrence/mine located in sec. 35, T12N, R17E, SBM, 2.7 km (1.7 miles) NE of the Vontrigger Hills (coordinates of record), along the lower western margin of the hills (4.5 miles SSE of Lanfair Buttes), on private (patented) land within a federal reservation (Mojave National Preserve/East Mojave National Scenic Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters. This property is the northeastern extension of the Vontrigger group of 11 claims. Patented in 1913. Location in S½ sec. 35 very questionable.
Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 16 (Northern Mojave Desert) and/or Precambrian rocks, undivided, unit 2 (Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include unspecified underground openings (the topo map reflects 1 shaft symbol at the end of an unimproved, dead end road, about 1 km NW of this point).
