A former Au occurrence/mine located in the W½W½ sec. 28, T12N, R3E, SBM, 5.3 km (3.3 miles) W of Alvord Peak (coordinates of record), along the western margin of the mountain. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in hornblendite. The deposit is comprised of veins and shear zones. Local rocks include pre-Cenozoic metasedimentary and metavolcanic rocks undivided.

Workings include surface and underground openings comprised of several adits, shallow adits and pits.
