A former Hg occurrence/mine located in the SW¼SE¼ sec. 7, T15S, R10E, MDM, 2.9 km (1.8 miles; 9,400 feet) N of Llanada. Discovered in 1938. Owned by Mrs. Frank McCollough. Produced during the periods 1938 to 1945 and 1951 to 1957. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in rocks of the Panoche Formation (Upper Cretaceous) (sandstone). The ore body is podiform with pockets. Controls for ore emplacement included thrusts in the Franciscan rocks. Local rocks include rocks of the Franciscan Complex, unit 1 (Coast Ranges).
Local geologic structures include thrusts in the Franciscan and brecciation.
Workings include unspecified surface openings (the topo map reflects 1 adit symbol labeled as this mine at this point).
