A Mn occurrence located in the NE¼SE¼SW¼ sec. 31, T6S, R11E, SBM, on the western margin of the Orocopia Mountains, S of Box Canyon Road (10 miles E of Mecca). Discovered in 1916. Owned by Chester A. Pinkham (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Also located in secs. 29, 30, 32 & 33, T6S, R11E and in sec. 24, 006S, R10E, SBM.
Mineralization is blocks of massive Mn oxide float. Local rocks include schist of various types and ages, unit 2 (Southern and West-central California).
