A former Au-Ag occurrence/mine located in the N½SE¼NW¼ sec. 15, T5S, R4W, SBM, 7.2 km (4.47 mi) SW of Perris, on private (patented) land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in granite. Associated rocks include mafic intrusive rocks. The orebody strikes N-S and dips 55W. Quartz veins follow a fracture in the footwall. In places, the fracture is poorly defined, in others, quartz is fractured, indicating a recent movement. The veins are associated with felsic dikes. Dikes could be another phase of main granite body. A mafic dike of variable thickness N20E is the northern limit of the ore. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 2 (Peninsular Ranges) and/or pre-Cenozoic granitic and metamorphic rocks undivided.
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 350 feet (ca. 107 m) deep shaft with drifts on the 95 feet (ca. 29 m) and 166 feet (ca. 51 m) levels, driven into the veins.
