A gypsum-anhydrite-clay occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 13 and in the W½ sec. 24, T4S, R7W, SBM, 4.9 km (3.0 miles) SW of El Cerrito, along the S side of the mouth of Eagle Canyon (4.5 miles S of Corona). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a sedimentary gypsum deposit hosted in evaporites. The ore body strikes N70W and dips 40N. The best gypsum occurs on the ridge between Eagle Canyon and Manning Canyon (15-25% gypsum).Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 4 (Peninsular Ranges).

Workings include underground openings comprised of a tunnel driven SE for 20 feet plus an open cut 60 feet long and 15 feet deep on the E side of the canyon. The W side has a tunnel driven 80 feet W and an open cut 70 feet long.
