A gemstone (agate-iris agate) occurrence located in T8S, R18E, SBM, 6.2 km (3.8 miles) WSW of the Little Chuckwalla Mountains high point (coordinates of record), S of Graham Pass along Graham Pass Road, near the Imperial County line (in the Chuckwalla Springs Region), on the western end of the Little Chuckwalla Mountains. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10,000 meters (sic). This occurrence is not well defined and may cover a relatively large area.
It is likely the same place described by Strong (1964) and dubbed "Gem Hollow". Consists of three general areas, see the reference. Approximate coordinates moved to the middle of the extensive surface collecting areas in float and washes.
Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
