A placer Au occurrence located in sec. 1, T27N, R10E, MDM, 3.6 km (2.2 miles) ESE of Moonlight Peak, in the headwaters areas of the West Branch Lights Creek and Moonlight Creek, on National Forest land. Also located in secs. 1, 3, 4, 9 & 10. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
