A former lode Au occurrence(s)/mine(s) located in sec. 1 & 12, T25N, R7E, MDM, 2.3 km (7,500 feet) WSW of Eagle Rock, at the head of Rich Gulch, on National Forest land. Also located in sec. 12. Owned & operated by the Northwest Gold Corp. (100.00%) (1996); formerly owned by the ABM Gold Corp. (100.00%), Canada (1990); and formerly operated by Inca Resources, Inc., Canada (1990). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a Au vein deposit (Deposit Model code 273; USGS model code 36a; Deposit model name Low-sulfide Au-quartz vein; Mark3 model number 27). The ore body is 60.96 meters wide and 914.4 meters long. Local rocks include Triassic marine rocks, unit 3 (Lake Almanor) and/or Undivided pre-Cenozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (undivided).
Local features include flows and breccias of the coastal volcanic belt. There are three mineralized areas.
Workings include surface and underground openings. Surface operations included an open pit. The plant was a leach operation with an unspecified hydrometallurgy method.
Production data are found in: Tooker and Vercoutere (1986).
Reserves estimated in 1996 totaled 9,162,566 metric tons ore. Gold assayed at 2.430000 g/mt.
