A former Cu-Au-Ag mine located in sec. 15, T25N, R11E, MDM, 3.4 km (2.1 miles) ESE of Genesee, along Ward Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. Also located in sec. 14.
Mineralization is hosted in andesite. Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (Northeastern Sierra Nevada) and/or Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 5 (Northern Sierra Nevada and Eastern Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground opening(s). A tunnel 600 feet long cuts Borden vein 136 feet vertically below croppings and 222 feet below a point on the Mohican vein, where a 30 foot shaft has been sunk. Another tunnel was driven 55 feet beyond the Borden vein. It should cut the Mohican vein if driven 60 - 75 feet more. A 30 foot raise from an 18 foot drift in the tunnel connects with a stope 18 feet long by 4 feet wide by 12 feet high. There is a 50 foot drift from the shaft on the Mohican vein.
Production data are found in:: Averill (1928): 279 - 280.
Production included a shipment of ore from which 1/3 was sorted out and saved for a mill grade, the balance being shipped. Said to have run 17% Cu, $14.60 Au and 14 oz. Ag per ton (period values). Ore in the shaft said to be of better grade.
