A former lode Cu-Au-Pb-Ag mine located in sec. 19, T24N, R11E, MDM, 3.1 km (1.9 miles) SW of Argentine Rock and 4.0 km (2.5 miles) N of Spring Garden, along Squirrel Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (Northeastern Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings. Underground workings at the site
total 1,645.92 meters in length and a depth of 60.96 meters. The workings include a 200 foot deep vertical shaft; 4,000 feet of drifts, a 900 foot long tunnel and 300 feet of raises.

During 1942, ore mined was reduced to 15,000 tons of Au concentrate from which by-product Cu and Pb were recovered.
