Pseudohexagonal twins, isolated or forming groups up to 10 cm long, are found in Triassic marls and clay outcrops SW of the village of Minglanilla.
Caution: Many specimens purported to be from Minglanilla are actually from outcrops located in the near townships ("municipios") of Enguídanos and La Pesquera (see, for instance, the localities "Retamal ravine, Enguidanos" and Tormagal ravine).
