A Au occurrence located in sec. 20, T26N, R11E, MDM, 6.6 km (4.1 miles) N of Genesee and 7.1 km (4.4 miles) ENE of Taylorsville. Also located in the NW¼ sec. 21. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
NOTE: The MRDS file relevent to this location contains major errors. The geographic coordinates provided by that file place this location in Tehama County. Ancillary data provided under the "Geographic Coordinates" section of that file also contribute additional data consistent with the Tehama County position. Many data presented, including the T&R values, reference, and geographic location indicate Plumas County. Examination of the geographic coordinates provided revealed that the longitude value of 121°45'47"W was in error by 1 degree. Changing the value to 120°45'47" brought the location to the Taylorsville area, as suggested by the reference, and made the coordinates agree with the T&R values.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
