A former Cu-Au mine located in sec. 6, T25N, R11E, MDM, 3.5 km (2.2 miles) WNW of Genesee, S of Mount Jura, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in andesite. The ore body strikes N20W and dips 70SW, at 914.4 meters long. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 5 (Northern Sierra Nevada and Eastern Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings. Underground development totals 341.38 meters in length at an overall depth of 6.1 meters. Workings consist of 600 feet of open cuts and a 20 foot deep shaft plus an adit 500 feet long.

Production included ore shipped from surface workings during the early days (1860's). 100 tons of ore of two grades are on the dump. The best averages 10% Cu, $3 Au, and $3 Ag (period values).
