A former lode Au mine located in sec. 19, T24N, R11E, MDM, 3.4 km (2.1 miles) SSW of Argentine Rock and 3.3 km (2.0 miles) NW of Greenhorn, on the divide between Greenhorn Creek and Squirrel Creek, on National Forest land. Also located in secs. 20, 29 & 30. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Paleozoic metavolcanic rocks, unit 2 (Northeastern Sierra Nevada).
