A former placer Au mine located in sec. 19, T22N, R10E, MDM, 4.5 km (2.8 miles) SW of Pilot Peak and 1.4 km (4,600 feet) NNE of Gibsonville (Sierra County), near the Sierra County line, on National Forest land. Also located in R11E and secs. 7, 18, 30, 31 & 32. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
