A former Cr mine located in the center SE¼ (assumed) sec. 8, T23N, R9E, MDM, 4.2 km (2.6 miles) WSW of Claremont summit, along the South Foprk Rock Creek, on National Forest land. The claims are laid out end-to-end along a line trending a little E of N through the central part of sec. 8. Operated 1941-1943. Owned by F.G. Myers, Stockton, California (1943); operated by Mr. George Maxwell (1941-1943). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Production data are found in: Rynearson (1953).
Workings consist of several shallow trenches on the No. 3 (Pepper) claim.
