A former Cu-Au mine located in sec. 34, T23N, R10E, MDM, 3.6 km (2.2 miles) NNE of Pilot Peak, E of Buzzards Roost Ridge, N side of Union Creek, 1 mile above its confluence with Nelson Creek. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings. Overall length is 15.24 meters and depth of 6.1 meters. Owners state that there is a 20 foot shaft on quartz vein with gold; a 30 foot tunnel on copper ore.
Owners state 2 - 25% Cu on ore carrying chalcopyrite.
