A former Cr mine located in the NE¼ (assumed based on spot on topo map) sec. 23, T23N, R9E, MDM, 2.6 km (8,600 feet) S of Crescent Hill, on the S side of the Middle Fork Feather River, on National Forest land. Last worked in 1944. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
