A marble quarry owned by the Beaver Dam Marble Co. Started 1879 and reportedly abandoned and water-filled by 1940. Exposed Cockeysville Marble. The bottom portion of the Washington Monument is made with marble from this quarry. It is now the beaver dam swimming club
