A former placer Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 21, T14N, R11E, MDM, 0.3 km (0.2 mile) W of Michigan Bluff, on private land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is .
Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Workings apparently were comprised of surface placer operations.
Lindgren (1911) described production of $5,000,000 (period values) of Au from 6,000,000 cubic yards of gravel before 1911.
