A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 19, T13N, R7E, MDM, 6.7 km (4.2 miles) NW of Virginiatown and 1.7 km (1.1 miles) S of Kilaga Springs (Wheatland District), NW of the Mount Pleasant Community Hall and N of Doty Ravine. The property comprises 17 acres. Owned by F. C. Crosby (1935). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
NOTER: USGS MRDS database file #10101339 places this locality in sec. 25, T13N, R6E, MDM, with corresponding coordinates; however, file #10236933 places it in sec. 19, T13N, R7E, MDM, with corresponding coordinates. The coordinates in this latter file correspond to the location of this mine on the topo map (as a named mine), in sec. 19.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains) and/or Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include unspecified underground openings (the topo map reflects a shaft symbol).
