A former Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 28, T14N, R11E, MDM, 0.8 km (0.5 mile) ESE of Sage Hill (coordinates of record), on private land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters. Clark (1970a) refers to this mine simply as the "Burroughs Mine." The topo map reflects both operations as named mines. They are in close proximity with the tunnel showing an adit symbol and the pit reflecting a cross picks symbol.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include surface and underground openings.
