A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the E½NW¼ (estimated) sec. 32, T14N, R11E, MDM, 1.7 km (1.1 miles) SW of Sage Hill (coordinates of record), on the divide between Ladys Canyon on the W and Mad Canyon on the E (3 miles SW of Michigan Bluff), on private land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. This mine is possibly the one referred to by Clark (1970a) as the "Bunker Hill Mine."
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate. Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
Workings include underground openings.
