A former placer occurrence/mine located in sec. 14, T15N, R11E, MDM, 0.2 km (0.1 mile) NNW of Forks House, S of Red Point (summit), on private land within a National Forest area. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. Also possibly located in sec. 33, T15N, R12E, MDM.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
