A former placer Au occurrence/mine located in secs. 12, 13 & 14, T15N, R9E, MDM, about 6.3 km (3.5 miles) N of Colfax, for ½ mile along the Bear River, now inundated beneath the Rollins Reservoir. The property comprised 82.89 acres. Owned by E. C. Uren (1935); and by E.R. Waring (time frame unknown). Operated in 1902 with an hydraulic elevation. Idle in 1915 to 1916. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is .
NOTE: The MAS-MILS file number ascribed to this locality is found in the USGS MRDS file #10286058, which pertains that portion of deposit lying on the Nevada County side of the river.
Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
