A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 3, T15N, R8E, MDM, about 2 km W of La Barr Meadows, along Allison Ranch Road, W of Wolf Creek (2.5 miles S of Grass Valley). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite. The ore body strikes N and dips 45NW at a thickness of 5.49 meters. Local alteration includes granodiorite that is ankeritized. Greenstone and aplite dikes are exposed in the workings. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 304.8 meters and an overall depth of 121.92 meters and comprised of a shaft, winze & drifts.
