A Cr occurrence located in the NE¼ sec. 14, T15N, R9E, MDM, 3.2 km (2.0 miles) ENE of Chicago Park, along the N shore of Rollins Reservoir, on private land. Discovered in 1918. Owned by the Pushek estate. Operated by W. C. Jauch. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Jauch found some chromite float along a creek bottom in 1918, while he was leasing the Numitor gold mine. The source of the float was not discovered. No other work was done, no ore was shipped.
