A reported placer Au occurrence located in the SE¼SW¼, SW¼SE¼ & S½SW¼SW¼ sec. 9, T19N, R12E, MDM, about 6.6 km NNE of Pyramid Peak along the S side of the Middle Yuba River, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters. This property is in two sections 9 and 15. Section 9 is owned by Southern Pacific, but 15 is not. This appears to be a large area of gold-bearing gravel along the Middle Fork of the Yuba River. May be auriferous.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 4 (Western Sierra Nevada).
