A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in the SW¼ sec. 2 (estimated) and in sec. 3, T15N, R8E, MDM, about 2 km WNW of La Barr Meadows, W of Wolf Creek and E of Allison Ranch Road. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated. This property is part of the Empire West holdings.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in slate and diorite. The ore body strikes NE and dips 30NW. There are 3 parallel veins. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings with a length of 30.48 meters and an overall depth of 15.24 meters and comprised of 2 inclines.
