A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 1, T15N, R8E, MDM, about 2 km NNE of La Barr Meadows, along the E foot of Osborne Hill (2 miles SE of Grass Valley), on private (patented) land. The property comprises 8.799 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
