A former lode Au occurrence/mine located 0.9 km (0.5 mile) ENE of La Barr Meadows, on the S end of Osborne Hill (2.5 miles SSE of Grass Valley), on private (patented) land. The property comprises 107.32 acres. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in diabase, slate and porphyry. The ore body strikes N and dips 60W. The veins lie along a diabase-slate contact (Crawford 1896) and average 2 feet thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with a length of 381 meters and an overall depth of 30.48 meters and comprised of 2 tunnels and an adit.
