A former lode Au occurrence/mine located in sec. 20, T16N, R9E, MDM, about 2.5 km WSW of Banner Mountain summit, along Wolf Creek (3 miles N of Peardale). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. The ore body is 1.52 meters thick. The vein is about 5 feet wide (thick ?). Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range) and/or Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include surface openings comprised of 3 old open cuts.
