A reported placer Au occurrence located in sec. 16, T16N, R10E, MDM, 4.0 km (2.5 miles) ESE of Quaker Hill (coordinates of record), on the S slope of Buckeye Ridge, W of the South Fork Greenhorn Creek, on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 5,000 meters. USGS MRDS file note: No section number given on mineral card; possibly in Placer County.
Local rocks include Paleozoic marine rocks, undivided, unit 6 (Northwestern Sierra Nevada) and/or Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
