A former lode Au mine located in the NW¼NE¼ sec. 15 & in sec. 22, T6N, R26E, MDM, 1.0 km (3,400 feet) ESE of the Masonic townsite (1 mile WSW of Dome Hill), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in granite. A 10 foot thick dike of dark, fine-grained rock, striking N65W and dipping 48 degrees, is exposed 180 feet from the tunnel entrance. A clay seam occurs on the W side of the vein. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 tunnels, 350 and 300 feet in length.
