A former lode Cu-Pb-Ag-Au mine located in sec. 11, T2N, R25E, MDM, 1.0 km (3,400 feet) ENE of Copper Mountain (coordinates of record) (joins the Goleta Mine on the S), on private (patented) land. Owned by J. S. Cain Co. California (1966). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 10 meters.
Mineralization is a quartz vein (ore same character as the Goleta Mine). Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 2 tunnels at 38 and 80 feet long plus a 40 foot deep shaft.
