A Mn occurrence/prospect located 5.3 km (3.3 miles) SE of Willow Springs (in a gently sloping area just W of Little Mormon Meadow; W of and on the opposite side of the road from the Little Bodie Mine. 11 miles S of Bridgeport) (located claim). Discovered in 1940. Owned by J. L. Wade, California (1974). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in Pliocene andesite. The ore body is 0.08 meters thick. Stringers 1 to 3 inches thick of high-grade, hard, black, botryoidal psilomelane occur along fractures in hornblende biotite dacite or andesite.
Local rocks include Tertiary pyroclastic and volcanic mudflow deposits, unit 9 (Cascade Range).
Workings include surface openings comprised of 4 open cuts.
