A Au-W occurrence located in secs. 24 & 25, T5S, R34E, MDM, 5.7 km (3.5 miles) SSE of Chalfant Peak, N of Coldwater Canyon, on National Forest land (9.5 miles N of Bishop). MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.

NOTE: One MRDS file states that both the UTM and section were estimated. The other file presents 2 sections in the T&R value and specifies an accurate location of the NE¼NW¼, but does not state which of the 2 sections this pertains to, or if it is the NE¼ of one section and the NW¼ of the adjoining section.

Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in hornfels. Local rocks include Cambrian marine rocks.

Workings include underground openings comprised of 1 shaft.

Production information: 230 pounds of concentrate recovered averaging 52.17% WO3 from 14 tons of ore. No production record found.

Primarily a Au mine, but more work could recover scheelite as a by-product.
