A former Ag-Cu-Pb mine located in the N½SE¼ sec. 18 and in sec. 20, T2S, R32E, MDM, 0.8 km (2,500 feet) ENE of Buscones Peak, along Lyford Gulch (head of Lynford Gulch on Blind Spring Hill), on National Forest land. Property consisted of 5 claims. The MRDS stated accuracy for this location is 5,000 meters (NOTE: Only one MRDS file - the least informative).

Mineralization is hosted in granodiorite. The ore body is comprised of irregular lenses and strikes N15W and dips 2-35E at a thickness of 0.91 meters. The vein is 1 to 3 feet (0.3 to 0.9 meters) thick. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).

Local structures include a fault, striking N45W and dipping N, cuts the vein. The fault is 50 Feet wide, filled with breccia having nearly white clay casings and exhibiting slickenside surfaces and striations.

Workings include underground openings comprised of a 400 foot tunnel with 2 shorter tunnels, 100 and 250 feet in length. Ore in the tunnel ends at the fault. There is also a 500 foot crosscut.

Production information: Lyford is credited with a production of over $200,000 in Ag (period values). No official production record found.
