A former Au mine located in the NW¼NE¼ sec. 20, T6N, R26E, MDM, 0.9 km (3,000 feet) W of New York Hill (coordinates of record) (W slope of the hill) and 1.7 km (5,600 feet) NNW of Masonic Mountain (coordinates of record), on National Forest land. The property consisted of 4 claims. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Tucker & Sampson (1940) mistakenly indicated that this min is in T26N.
Mineralization is hosted in rhyolite. The ore body strikes N85E and dips 45SE at a thickness of 7.62 meters. There are 2 parallel veins, 160 feet apart. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 17 (Cascade Range).
Workings include underground openings comprised of 3 tunnels with winzes and raises. The lower tunnel on the Lake View No. 2 claim is 350 feet long. No. 1 is 300 feet long and the Anachonda (Anaconda ?) tunnel is 250 feet long. A 2-compartment shaft was reported at 30 feet deep.
