A former lode Au mine located in the SE¼NW¼ sec. 32, T2S, R31E, MDM, 4.4 km (2.7 miles) N of Banner Ridge (coordinates of record) (½ mile W of Wildrose Canyon), on National Forest land. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 5,000 meters (NOTE: This value seems unreasonable based on all data presented in the MRDS database).
Mineralization is hosted in granite and schist. The ore body strikes N30E, E-W and dips 90, 50N, at athickness of 1.22 meters. Local rocks include Mesozoic granitic rocks, unit 3 (Sierra Nevada, Death Valley area, Northern Mojave Desert and Transverse Ranges).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 150 foot deep shaft and a number of short tunnels and shallow shafts.
