A former Hg mine located in the center of sec. 25, T4N, R25E, MDM, 3.6 km (2.2 miles) ESE of Willow Springs and 10.4 km (6.5 miles) SSE of Bridgeport, along Cinnabar Canyon, on the divide between Cinnabar Canyon and Clearwater Creek, on Bureau of Land Management administered wilderness land (Bodie Mountain Wilderness Study Area). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Mineralization is hosted in rhyolite tuff and agglomerate. Local rocks include Tertiary volcanic flow rocks, unit 17 (Cascade Range).
Workings include surface and underground openings.
