A former lode Au mine located in the E½SE¼ sec. 29, T5S, R16E, MDM, 1.7 km (5,700 feet) SSW of Quartz Mountain [2], on the S side of Toledo Pond, in the headwaters area of Toledo Gulch and NE of the Toledo townsite (3 miles S of Hornitos), on private land. The property consists of 20 patented acres. Operated by Arthur Giles. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 500 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).
