A placer Au occurrence located in sec. 1, T8S, R16E, MDM, 5.9 km (3.7 miles) W of Flat Top Mountain (adjoins the Bennett-Pate dredge ground on the W and S). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
Local rocks include Quaternary alluvium and marine deposits.
Workings included surface dredge operations.
Gold content averaged about $0.15 per cubic yard and recovery was $0.13 per cubic yard (period values). In 1938 about 180,000 cubic yards of overburden (soil) was removed from the deposit and several hundred thousand cubic yards of gravel were processed.
