A former lode Au mine located in secs. 15, 16 & 22, T3S, R16E, MDM, 1.6 km (5,200 feet), SSE of Horseshoe Bend Mountain (coordinates of record) (3 miles S of Coulterville; ½ mile from the Mast station on the Yosemite Valley Railroad). Property consisted of 13 unpatented claims and 1 patented claim. Owned by Clara Bibbero and David A. Green (1927). MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters. Optioned to the Horse Shoe Bend Mining Co. in 1927 from Merced River Mines Co. It is possible that this group is now known as the Merced River II, which see (similarities are compelling).

Mineralization is a vein deposit with 4 quartz veins from 1 to 4 feet thick, hosted in slate and serpentinite. The ore body strikes NW and dips 50NE at a thickness of 1.22 meters. The footwall is slate and the hanging wall is serpentinite. Castello (1921), calls the country rock porphyrite. Local rocks include Mesozoic volcanic rocks, unit 2 (Western Sierra Foothills and Western Klamath Mountains).

Workings include underground openings with 1,000 feet of development work done.
