A former lode Au mine located in sec. 10, T4S, R16E, MDM, 2.1 km (6,800 feet) W of Williams Peak, in Hunter Valley (5 miles NW of Bear Valley). Operated by Irene Van De Carr. MRDS database accuracy for this location is not stated.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone. Local rocks include Jurassic marine rocks, unit 1 (Western Sierra Nevada and Western Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a 50 foot shaft, now caved.
Production was possibly in the early years of this century, probably earlier.
