A former lode Au mine located in sec. 31, T3S, R17E, MDM, 2.0 km (6,500 feet) NNW of Bagby, along lower Flyaway Gulch (6¼ miles SE of Coulterville). Discovered in 1923. Operated by the Formation Logging Co. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a vein deposit hosted in greenstone. Local rocks include ultramafic rocks, chiefly Mesozoic, unit 2 (Western Sierra Nevada and Klamath Mountains).
Workings include underground openings comprised of a crosscut adit driven E and a short N drift. Under development in 1956.
