A placer Au occurrence located in secs. 17 & 20, T3S, R16E, MDM, 0.7 km (2,200 feet) WNW of Hunter Valley Mountain (coordinates of record), on private (patented) land. Property consists of 67 patented acres. Operated by James Burns C/O Merced Irrigation District. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 1,000 meters.
MRDS file note: "Could this be the same as the Del Oro claim, item 48, shown in USGS folio 63 (1900), claim sheet 2, secd. 4? California DOM Bulletin 108, Pl. 10, lists the Ohlnsier placer claim in sec. 17, but its location is not plotted on the map."
